Æthereal

Dillon Ethier Crushing, yet groovy metal, tons of sludgy riffs, and long songs! Just the way I like it! There are some harsh vocals peppered throughout, that I feel I should warn anyone who prefers easy listening of, but they are relatively sparse and minimal, so large portions of this are instrumental. Not that I have any problem with that stuff \m/ Favorite track: Eris.

Brett Barnes One grooving heavy riff after another. Sitting still while listening is simply an impossibility. Favorite track: Empty Hollow.

Scumbag I dunno if "progressive doom" exists as a defined genre yet, but I reckon between Ginevra and Lost Orb (another recent Bandcamp fave) we could see that definition come into being! And what an awe-inspiring genre it would be if quality like this was to continue into the future!!

FDJ, Jerry - I doff my hat to thee once more... Favorite track: Into The Abyss.

FDJ There are those of you on BandCamp who will be put off by the tags of "post rock" and "post metal" attributed to this release. If that is the case then you are going to miss out on what is a superb album of stupendous psych-metal chock-a- block full of ferocious riffs and minimal vocals. Give it a go...... Favorite track: Into The Abyss.

Two years after the birth of Ginevra, the band made its first debut with "Æthereal", recorded as a self-production, published in august 2014. The five tracks which compose the album, were born after a long auditory and compositive study, always between psychedelic atmospheres and post core rhytms.
Ginevra, initially started as an instrumental band, needed to insert short and trenchant vocal sounds to add the right aggressiveness to the tracks. A heavenly trip, which starts digging in the oblivion of the human disconfort through the pain and the affliction, brings to the awareness of a suitable rebirth. The graphic work has been committed to the gloomy and crumbling imagination of Zulanto's "Cikas Lab" and the mastering has been put into the hands of Lorenzo Stecconi (Lento, Ufomammut, etc...).
The band took part at a lot of festivals, such as Musica W and Tagofest, sharing the stage with Alcest, Ornaments, Isaak, Vaz, Coilguns, When Icarus Falls and many others.
The 5th track ERIS was included in the compilation "SOLO MACELLO vol. III" with others italian underground Metal such as Nudist and Liquido Di Morte
